Incredible view of New York City from the Top of the Rock. Mary Walter joined me.
The beautiful panoramic view of Manhattan from Roosevelt Island. Breathtaking.
The Rockefeller Building has one of the best views in New York City. And the craziest and fastest elevator ride ever.
Continued exploration around the fenced off perimeter of the crumbling edifice of the old TB hospital on Roosevelt Island.
Walking the perimeter of the ruins of the old TB hosptial on Roosevelt Island.
The original Elmhurst Hospital housed the insane, the criminal, and the poor. It opened in the early 1830s. The new location is in nearby Queens.
Got to Roosevelt Island a little on the early side--the gates weren't unlocked until 8:15am. They allow closer access for hikers, runners, people walking their dogs, and the curious.
WOW! I thought Grand Central Station was impressive from the OUTSIDE. Nothing could prepare me for the majestic and immense interior. I couldn't even get good flash pictures because it was SO large from one end to the other. Incredible, wonderful place.
The front of Grand Central Station. It felt like a movie set. It was too incredible to be real.
Even from the side entrance, Grand Central Station is larger than life. I had no idea what to expect inside. It was ENORMOUS and MAJESTIC.
I hadn't eaten in hours and this little diner is open 24 hours and is right at the Tram entrance, 60th Street and 2nd Avenue. NICE pastrami sandwich. And the coffee was as strong as I needed it to be. Cool little place and right out of a television show.
This was after 11pm and I was waiting for the Roosevelt Tram at 60th Street and 2nd Avenue. You know the King Kong ride at Universal Florida? These are the trams that King Kong is knocking around. lol. Luckily my ride was much smoother.
How a Californian layers for a night of walking in New York City.
A brief video of part of my descent into the subway system. This was at Roosevelt Island, so the distance down to the subway was obviously greater since it had to go through a tunnel under the river to connect with Queens and Manhattan.
It was fun sometimes just turning on the Webbie and shooting at whatever was going by at the time. Never a dull moment.
I had just missed the Rockefeller Christmas tree, but it was fun to watch the skaters brave the cold. Made me feel like a kid again.
This is a cool store--with a VERY cool sign. A sign the size of a HOUSE. It's M&M world!
You know it's a big Toys R Us when it has a FERRIS WHEEL inside. WOW!
Spencer fears a NYC rat will jump out in front of him and not be as nice as his pet rat, Myron.
Spencer recalls his first trip to New York City 4 years ago...and the dreams that came true in the city that never sleeps.
My first night back in New York City...walking around and seeing the News Corp. Building, home of Fox Across America and Fox Newstalk.
